JDP’s Top Ten of 2010

Well this year is coming to a close. Tonight we will be bringing in the New Year. As I reflect back on all the joys and struggles of this year I cant help but to feel at peace. Wow…is all I can say. Funny how one can reflect on a struggle and can see how something positive came from it. I am truly blessed and so grateful for those blessings. From the bottom of my heart thank you to those of you who continue to support me and my photography journey. I know this is what I was put here to do. I'm hoping to find more opportunities this year to help others by using photography. May each one of you have a wonderful joy filled New Year!!

Now on to the pictures…. These are my personal favorites from 2010. It was extremely hard for me to pick just 10!! (Technically there are 11 photos posted but I count the collage as one;})

Magic Times 3

I truly believe there is something simply magical about Military Homecomings!! Between the months of Oct. and Nov. I had the opportunity to document 3. Thank you to those families that allowed be to be apart of their homecomings. It was truly an an honor to document these special memories.

And for those services members unable to be with us this holiday season you are not forgotten and always in our hearts. Blessings to our Military and their families.

Veterans Day Parade

Bless our veterans with out them we would not have the freedoms we often take for granted. I usually am not a fan of photographing events but I truly enjoyed taking pictures at the parade a few weeks ago. I remember how excited I was! I wanted to capture every moment. So much history in one place. Each man and women in uniform had a story to tell and to capture their faces just for that brief moment words cant express..... thinking about it still makes my heart sink.

Long Awaited Share

These photos were taken during the summer and are perhaps my fav. session ever. They were taken as a surprise for these 2 lil beauties' mother while she was undergoing major surgery. I could not post them b/c I was putting together something special for their mother (which took a lil longer than I planned lol). Their mother is a beautiful person and I love her so. I am so glad I got the opportunity to create something special for her......and thanks to the girls Mimi for all her help with the session.

Shortly after I received the finished product from this session I began to have issues with my blog and then computer...but now the JDP blog is back on track!! Thank you all for your support is I continue my photo journey.
